A Taste of Northern Spain
Spain is one of the world’s largest wine-producing countries. Over recent years the level of quality in wines has risen sharply and many neglected wine regions are finding new life on the world stage.
Beyond the well known favourites of Rioja and the Tempranillo grape there is now a world of wine waiting to be discovered.
So where should one begin the journey? In this evening's class, we shall take a tour throughout the diverse regions of Northern Spain and check out delicious reds from Bierzo and Toro, fresh, zesty Atlantic styles, where the cool maritime climate is responsible for producing crisp, peach- and floral-scented wines based on the Albariño varietal. We shall also visit the Basque region and sample Txakoli, the slightly sparkling, very dry white wine with high acidity and low alcohol.
To find the best that Northern Spain has to offer, come along to this fun and relaxed evening, and discover some Spanish delights.
